The result of the analysis of TDF factor values in two groups of patients with gynecological malignancies:
190 patients – the training group (100 women with radiation-induced damages and 90 women
without damages) and 101 patients – control group (50 women with radiation-induced damages and
51 women without any damages) is presented. Statistical processing was performed using Statistics
for Windows software.
There were significant difference between TDF values in four gynecologic radiation therapy reference
points of interest: A, B, V and R in the training group of the patients with radiation induced damages
and without them (p<0.01). However the TDF values were lower than tolerate dose in B and R points in
both cases, meaning that it is impossible to predict the emergence of radiation-induced damages based
only on TDF values.
Application of factor analysis to the TDF values of four mentioned points resulted in possibility of dividing
the training group of patients into two subgroups: substantial reaction on radiation therapy (according
to the first principal component value) and high probability of radiation-induced damages (according
to second principal component value). Also noted the significantly low value of the first principal
component of generalized TDF factor in control group in patients with radiation-induced damages
compared with patients without radiation-induced damages (p<0.05).
