The prostate cancer brachytherapy has a number of limitations according: a large volume of the organ and the presence of a previous transurethral resection consider as the relative contraindications. This study is aimed to assess the possibility of LDR brachytherapy for patients with such contraindications. Under ultrasound control, and under the spiral computed tomography control.
It should be noted that the brachytherapy under CT control can give better effect for patients with large volume of the prostate as well as patients after TUR with significant defects. Brachytherapy under ultrasound guidance was effective for patients with small and mean volumes of the prostate gland and in case of small defects after TUR.
